Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Our canteen is volunteer-staffed and operates during recess and lunchtime on Mondays and Fridays for snacks and lunch orders. Orders can be placed online via Flexischools, up to 8.30am on the day the order is to be filled. Details of stock and prices are sent home twice a year, or as prices or stock items change. These changes are also highlighted in our school newsletter.
With additional volunteers, the canteen may be able to operate on other days. If you are able to volunteer in the canteen please contact the school office; your assistance would be most welcome.
How to Place a Flexischools Lunch Order
Lunch orders can be placed through www.flexischools.com.au or via the Flexischools app. The procedure for ordering is exactly the same for both formats. An order can only be placed if the Flexischools account is in credit.
1. Log into your Flexischools account or press “Like to Register” and set up an account
2. Click on the “Order” button within the big lunch icon under “Food”
3. Select your child’s name. On this screen you will also see your available balance.
4. Click on the date that you are ordering the lunch for or click “load more dates” if the date that you require the lunch order for is not showing
5. Now you will see a number of different categories:
- Monday Menu
- Drinks
- Extras
- Toasties
- Friday Menu
- Salad Box
- Sandwiches & Rolls
- Sushi
6. Click on the category you wish to look at, if you don’t see what you are looking for, click the category list (left hand side up the top of the page) and it will take you back to where all the categories are listed. If for example you choose a Beef Pie, click the + button. If you now want to add a drink or something else, click the Category tab and it will take you back so you can add a drink etc.
7. When you have selected all the items you wish, press the Confirm Order tab, it will take you to a screen which details the child’s name, class, lunch order date and what has been ordered. Now click Place Order, an email will be sent to you as confirmation that the order has been received by Flexischools.
