About our school

Galston Public School enjoys an idyllic semi-rural location. Our expansive playing fields, mature shade trees and diverse outdoor facilities contribute to a versatile, tranquil and inviting learning environment.

Our positive behaviour for learning (PBL) values of 'respect, responsibility and personal best' guide us, as does our school motto of 'honest work and fair play'.

Our enthusiastic and committed staff offer a balanced curriculum with a strong focus on quality literacy and numeracy programs. Numerous extra-curricular programs cater for the interests and abilities of our students.

Galston Public School is supported by an active and involved parent community to achieve its vision to create a learning culture that provides high quality educational opportunities in order for every child to fulfil their potential and become a life-long learner, and to guide our students towards a future that will see them enjoy life as confident, independent and resilient members of the community.

To help new families get acquainted with our school, we have prepared a handy information booklet. For further information, download and view our school information booklet.

School song

To Galston School we sing our praise, with voices young and strong.

We learn together every day, we know that we belong.

Galston, Galston is our school, a place to learn and grow.

In friendship we will keep the rules, take pride in all we know.

With our school to guide us, through the school code we will live;

Through all the years that come anew, play fair and gladly give.

Galston, Galston is our school, a place to learn and grow.

In friendship we will keep the rules, take pride in all we know.

School creed

This is our school,

Let peace dwell here,

Let the rooms be full of contentment,

Let love abide here.

Love of one another,

Love of mankind,

Love of life itself,

And love of God.

Let us remember,

That as many hands build a house,

So, many hearts make a school.
